Philosophy of Teaching

Philosophy of Teaching

My philosophy of teaching is very progressive in the sense of providing opportunities for my students to have hands on lessons and ways of learning. I would like my future students to be able to collaborate and be creative together so they will be able to come together to make their learning process even better through each other. Through this class I have got hands on experiences with tools I will be able to use such as twitter and Google applications through which my students will be able to work together.

I have also learned about ways to assess my students along the learning path, so I will be able gauge my effectiveness of my instruction in real time. In this class we were exposed to a wide variety of assessments that I will use in my classroom. I will also have my students give my feedback every week so I will be able to make sure I am meeting their expectations as their instructor.

Since I took this class, I will be able to impart my knowledge of new technologies to me. I will have them be hands on with their learning so they will be able to learn in a way they find best. This is important because many children today learn best when they are able to use technology while they learn and when they are able to do hands on activities as well. So through this class I will be able to connect better with my students' learning styles and I will be able to teach them new skills through this process.

I plan to incorporate these new technologies into my class by having them work on projects online so they will be able to use technology while at the same time being able to learn and work together with their peers. I also plan to use storybookthat so my students are able to make their own stories or create alternate endings to well known stories. I think using technology in the classroom everyday is a great thing for the students and you as a teacher. Technology is the future so it is our job to teach our students how to use them to their benefit.
