About Miss. Heavilin
My name is Alexis Heavilin and I am from a small town in southeastern Ohio called Hopedale. I am an early childhood education major. I volunteer when I am home on breaks at our local elementary school in my spare time. This summer I will be working at The Children's Academy in Steubenville Ohio. I plan to start my teaching career in this summer job, then I plan to get a part time job back in Akron new semester. From there I plan to keep working with children till I am able to get a job being an actual teacher in the public school system. I would really love to be a teacher for grades pre-k to 2nd grade. Once I become a teacher I plan to work for 10 tens while I get my masters and doctorial degree so I will be able to be a college professor. I would really love to teach college students how to love the teaching profession the way I already do.
